This is a lie. She probably just wants attention. Hospitals always type up a certificate whether the baby is alive or not. It has to be documented. They wouldn't just let her leave as if nothing happened, she had to have signed some paperwork.

Well, if she had a cesearan delivery, she will have the scar to prove it.
If she had a normal vaginal delivery, she should have no remnants of her hymen left.
When a girl/woman tears the hymen either through injury, intercourse, or foreign object insertion (such as a tampon), there is almost always some remnant of the hymen left.
For most women, those remnants will remain until they have a vaginal delivery. That, or they are used to putting fairly large foreign objects into their vaginal canal.
This isn't foolproof, but it is something.
And a hospital would have done paperwork. No ifs, ands, or buts. If a fetus was delivered, there was paperwork on it, as well as on the mother. But for privacy reasons, you will never get access to it unless the mother signs a waiver.
Unless you have reason to disbelieve her, I wouldn't push that hard.

I think it's a bit late to do the paperwork. However, I think it is physically possible to tell if a woman has had a child by the shape and positioning of her hips. I know that they move during pregnancy but for some reason I recall that they may not fully go back to normal.

I don't even know if that's possible, to NOT do paperwork or some kind of documentation when ur baby dies. And i understand that she may have been grieving or distraught, but as a mother she should have felt the responsibility to make sure this was taken care of.

Does she mean she never got a copy of death certificate? That is a possibility. Maybe she didn't want it then, it was too hard. The hospital did file one though. She can go apply for a copy of it if she wants. Why push the issue? How does it affect you? Is it hurting you in any way? Losing a child is a very hard thing to go through and unless there is some HUGE reason that you "need" to know, let it go.

If she had a child in a hospital the hospital would have records. They would not have discharged her without filing the proper paperwork.

The hospital has to have paperwork. There are records somewhere if she had a baby.

I do not know the correct answer to your question but my best educated guess would be that, no matter how upset she was the hospital would have by law had to have her sign something. 10 years ago was only 1997 and Im sure they were almost as strict as there are now. Not sure but that would be my guess. Good luck!

What paperwork? A birth certificate? A death certificate? The hosipital would have done a death certificate, she would have nothing to do with it. What does she want all this for? What difference does it make now?

Sounds like a big lie because a hospital plus the state is going to have records on a death so does that mean she does not know where the kid is buried at either?
They are going to have records of it. i do not believe her story
