You must be feeling really hurt. You asked this just a few minutes ago. Know what? Say very nicely to him, "Thank you", and you go off by yourself. He might get the idea. Wow, I'd love a woman like you to ask me.

Do sometthing together that he enjoys. If you are taking shopping, or going to watch a chick flick or wanted to take him to a spa to get massaged or go to a sushi place... then honey, men do NOT like to do that, because they are men, and they like steak, bear and potates, not so foofoo place where he would have to dress up and deal with an obnoxious french waiter and not understand a word on the menu.
Try somewhere else, such a sports bar, a steak house or a bar. I know that you are trying to impress him, but he may be concerned about you spending a fortune.
Think about an invitation for HIM and not where you would like to be invited.
Good luck

Regardless of the cost, perhaps his answer is the real one....he just doesn't want to go there. If, on the other hand, he doesn't want to spend some "alone" time with you, then you need to find out why. Maybe suggest a different place to go.

Seems like your are a very thoughtful person, Depends where you were taking him it may not be his idea of fun.
If that's not the reason it might be the company now you have a problem. Is this the only problem in your marriage if not your on a down hill slope. Good Luck

If he paid to take you to a Baseball Game and you hate baseball, you wouldn't want to go. However, you would probably go because he wants to do stuff with you and that's sweet. Some guys just get tired of doing the "sweet" thing.

Depends where you want to take him. For example, I would not want to go to the opera or a ballet no matter who was paying. Now if you're talking Hawaii sign me up.
If it's somewhere in between those two extremes, maybe he needs to grow up. If it's somewhere you really want to go he probably should just suck it up and go, no matter how lame the place is.

then find some of your friends to go out with. maybe your husband is an introvert where as certain things (such as a crowd, restaurant, concert, or anything with a lot of activity) would overwhelm him. does he spend a lot of time alone? you should research introvert. you may get your answer. i don't like to go out that much either. too many people and crowds (especially on a friday night where EVERYONE goes out) is extremely overwlehming to me. i stay in most of the time. and i like it that way.

Sounds like your marriage is on the rocks ! The whole "I'm paying" thing doesn't matter because it's your money TOGETHER. It sounds like he just doesn't have any interest in you anymore because if he did, he would want to go just to please you. That's what I think and I'm a man so you decide.

try a different place, perhaps one with a little more excitement....a bed and breakfast can be quite boring.....although if your life is hectic, it could be just the kind of getaway a busy couple would enjoy. Maybe he's wanting stimulation instead of relaxation???

Maybe he does not want to go to the place you selected. See if he would prefer to go somewhere else.
