I notice that she treats young black men and women like they are nothing . She just does reverse racism . Its been done in the black race for so long .That Oprah doesn't know she does it to black ppl shes so use to catering to white ppl that she don't realize how much of a negative impact she making to the young black Americans whom admire her success and etc. I don't really watch her show after she was rude to this young black guy back when she had the cast of dream girls on and she shook his hand and told him to sit down all rude. But only to turn around the next day and let a white man and white woman jump up and down with excitement and she jump up and down with them and hugged them etc. Its just fake and racist and she is doing it without realizing she is. But that has happened in our race by our own race for years. if you can pass as white its considered better but if your darker your bad or something etc. So i don't watch her no more I haven't really watched Oprah since the dream girl interview incident.

Each guest is asked what they prefer. Some "stars" don't want to be hugged. And Oprah has known some of her guests for a long time so of course she'd hug them. I think she's very gracious when she greets her guests.
Now, Will Smith recently ran into the audience and hugged & kissed some people. I thought that was cool. Tom Cruise always shakes hands and hugs members of the audience too.

I haven't watched her show as of late, but I think Oprah is a great person in life but her show is a little over rated. I am not into those kind of talk shows.

actually the producer asks the guests which do they prefer. and some are friends of oprah so they get the hug and kiss. but others will shake hands because they prefer that.

You are probably reading too much into it. I think you can tell when someone is a hugger, or hand shaker. And it depends on how well you know someone. I saw her meet and greet and say goodbye to her whole staff in Hawaii this summer. Some people she hugged, some she greeted with a hand shake or a nice touch.

Ellen who? Degerate? i think of it incredibly is a sturdy concept to place everybody on the conceal of her magazine, through fact she in basic terms ever has herself on her conceal, and that i've got continually puzzled why. i admire Oprah, yet i think of that it incredibly is form of egotistical to have herself on her conceal month after month... So, ya, everybody may be better than her each and each month... teach some form Oprah...

it's probably situational more than racial perhaps.
I think some factors may include:
1) if she knows them or knows of them in some capacity.
2) What they are on the show for-if it's someting personal, she will probably try to be more personable with them because they are in a vulnerable position.
3) The theme of the show will also probably factor in.

I have seen her hug people of all races, genders and ethnic backgrounds and I have seen her shake the hands of all races, genders and ethnic backgrounds. Maybe she hugs those that she thinks need it.
