It can be any type of game, just as long as it is a foreign traditional game.

Being a playworker I have worked with children for many years, and in different areas of the country and watching them play games/traditional games I noticed that they are very similar to each other, just maybe have the odd different rule or a different names too them, and in turn these will change as the generations move on.

There are stacks of books on the market, on games and activities I have seen some books on foreign traditional games for children of all ages.

But what did you mean? physical games?board games?

this isn't a traditional game, but its a game children play at the out of school club I work at. it's called the chocolate game and the kids will love it.

You will need.

A large bar of chocolate cut up into chunks
A pair of chop-sticks
A pair of gloves or mittens
A Hat of some sort, bobble or baseball type will do
A scarf
A six sided dice
A table of some sort
A chair

Object of the game.

The children sit around in a circle, the dice is given to one of the children they roll it,the dice is past on until one of the children rolls a six,he/she then has to run up to the table, put on the hat scarf and gloves, sit at the table and starts eating the chocolate using the chop-sticks,while this is going on the dice is still being past and rolled around the group, until another six is thrown then that child has a turn at trying to eat the chocolate and so on.

Secret Agent

You will need

A blind fold
An object of some kind like a bunch of keys
A chair
A volunteer from the audience

Object of the game

The volunteer is sat down in the chair and blind folded, the object is placed under the chair. the other children or secret agents take it in turns to try and get the object with out being heard, when the volunteer thinks he/she hears something they point out where that sound came from,if they however happen to point at one of the children/secret agents then they are out until the game, the winner is the one who can get to the keys with out being heard

Also try

Duck duck goose
Blind mans buff
Pin the tail on the donkey
Sardines
Skittles

With our children at there birthday party's we used to play musical chairs, hide and seek, I spy, and they would also play them selves in make believe, this was before the advent of the PC and games console when they also new how to communicate in English and not grunts.
I also used to do origami with them from the age of four, they needed a little help but with encouragement. They all ways enjoyed it especially when they got older and could make harder models.

I am not sure if it is an actual traditional game or not, but I used to really like Chinese Checkers when I was around that age.
