The astronauts due to the gravity, harness themselves onto a stand still bike. They wouldn't beable to exercise on the bikes without being harnessed in.

They exercize using special machines such as treadmills or weights. Exersicing is a nessecity when in space, because other wise a human's muscles would simply waste away.
