With your hand being stiff during the fast parts, remember to flex your fingers, your wrist should moving only to keep the bow straight. Think of letting go of a tennis ball. With fast passages, (or slow) don't cling the neck of the cello, hang on it. Let gravity let the fingers hang on the fingerboard, not additional pressure is needed.

Are you using vibrato yet? If you are, you should try to practice it even when you're not playing. Loosen up your wrists by rolling them around. Make sure you're not just playing note by note but that you see the music as a whole piece. Put feeling into your playing and try to move with the music. It's hard to give you guidance by words, just enrich yourself by watching videos of great cellists' and listen to a lot of music, picking out the cello parts.

When you play fast try to keep the tempo in your head or play with a metronome so you're not rushing. Start the part at a slow tempo and gradually work your way up to the speed it should be played at. You'll be more relaxed with the recital when you know the music in your head and in your heart better than what's on paper.

Relax and have fun with it!

for the stiffening in your left hand:
you may have to move your left elbow a little higher so that your fingers are looser during the fast passages.
that way, the weight from your back will be distributed evenly among your fingers, and your fingers have more freedom to play faster.
you can feel the difference if you play with your left elbow almost touching your side, then try moving it up
(put your elbow in the saluting position, then move your lower arm down to the fingerboard)
also, when you're playing fast on the G and C strings, move your elbow up higher so the top of your elbow-to-wrist is almost flat.

Get Popper study books... he was s truly evil man and brilliant. All his studies have specific techniques. You will hate it but its so good. He was a cellist too which helps. For the tight wrist hold your bow properly and so scales in a tremelo at the tip of your bow.
If your fingering hand is cramping you are squeezing with your thumb practise with out your thumb on the back at all - its hard at first but once you get used to not squeezing it can just go back to resting there and not squeezing - hope it helps

i do not play cello, yet I do piano. As with something, practice makes ideal. practice till you sense positive in your self; till you sense you ought to do it on your sleep! in case you sense drained, take a smash! you do not ought to cram each thing in one day. operating in the route of better ought to help you, yet when it really is too a lot wait some hours, or till the following day. you've finished this because you've been 3, so do not hassle too difficult yet nonetheless take it heavily. when you're in severe college, you opt on to plot your priorities, say, in hardship-free words practice in the journey that your homework is finished, because you do not decide on your grades to wade through because you've been up all evening operating in the route of cello. solid success which includes your transferring into juliard!!
