Im buying a car and I have narrowed it down to a Nissian Altiman or Jetta, which one would you choose and why?

They are both great cars. Jetta's break down a lot is what I heard, but my sister has one and loves it! I would choose a Jetta because like that other person said, everyone looks good in a Jetta! They are adorable and work great!

Go with the Jetta. German cars are put together really solidly and run forever. I'm on my second Jetta. The first one I sold with 180,000miles and this one has 80,000 miles on it. I never have problems with it, it runs like new. I love it.

I'd pick German engineering. Better resale.
However, make your salespeople work for their commissions. "I'd like to buy the Jetta, but before I sign could you please tell me why the Jetta is better than the Alitma". Ask them the same question and have them provide you with a file (bluebook rates, maintence costs, their repair rates, articles or other) of information backing up their point of view. If they decline, call the owner of the dealership.

I would pick the jetta, because I had one and they are really good cars. I think mine had over two hundred thousand miles on it when I sold it and I still see it around every now and then.

Altima... they are nicer... parts are less expensive than a jetta and easier to find...(My mechanic says Jetta's are pieces of sh!t)... but I wouldn't go that far...

Well if you buy it it will probably be an altiwoman ... but I would say jetta... they are ranked better, and look better.

The Altima. Nissan makes reliable cars and the value is good too.
More for your money in my opinion.
