No more different from the constipated paranoid behavior of 4 millipn Americans listening to H.G. Well's novel broadcasted over the air!
The real intelligence competence is to foil a plot before any strange articles are being deposited and not after the fact! Looks like Homeland Intelligence is not doing a competent job. What if they were real terrorist bombs. Finding the deposits in Boston alone and heaving up a paranoid reaction in Boston isn't going to help when there are many already deposited in so many cities, too! It's a scenario that ought to be an awakening call to us all as to how easy any terrorist can plot and attempt to plant some nasty bombs in American cities!!!!
Remember the incidents when some of those challenging our Government's Security failed tactics, had managed to enter the so-called secured areas of our airports to reveal how badly protected our Airports are?
Security and the protection of Americans apparently are not up to expected standard... oh yes, horribly weak!

These idiots should go to jail..."these" including the CEO.
They were found in Chicago also and, Chicago Police would have taken the exact same precautions if there were the initial city to find them. I would think Boston civilians would be grateful that their police went to the extreme to ensure their safety and security. But no.... you have the idiots protesting the arrests.
They were planted in 10 cities. Turner did not notify anyone until 5 hours into the discovery and distruction of some of them.
God....what is wrong with people these days??

Well I have to agree that someone should've been notified ahead of time of the pr stunt...however boston city officials and law enforcement handled the whole situation without any kind of grace or common sense. It wasnt the lite up signs themselves that caused the panic, it was the reaction of said city officials and law enforcement. I personally don't believe that they are properly trained to handle these kind of situations, especially compared to how the other cities handled it. For example, blowing them up even after they were deemed to be harmless is a waste of time and money, and I'm sure did unecissary damage to public property. Most professionals trained to deal with bombs would've known immediately that the objects in question were no threat. Not to mention that a large portion of the general public knew what they were. As far as the people of Boston go, I don't think any less of them its not their fault that their city officials are incapable of handling even the simplist situations without causing panic and disorder. Oh yeah did I mention the things were up for a few weeks before anyone noticed them? That speaks for itself. Oh and I agree with fred their was no intent by the pr people to cause this kind of situation.

But evidently no one in Boston has any brains either. The signs had been up for two to three weeks across the States. And it was only the authorities in Boston to decide to shut everything down for a bunch of Lightbrights.

How does the Turner prank relate to "this time of terror"? I don't like the idea of a time of terror. The world has not changed that much. The only thing that has changed is our perception. Which has lead us to become terror stricken, terror being a state of mind. Now I ask you do you think that your state of mind (emotionally speaking) should determine your actions, or at least in this particular situation? Should fear be your motivation? For fear take no intelligence, while courage does.

they have been exposed as fools
the whole project should be cancelled
they should be audited
someone jailed for conspiracy,
and some severe penelty and cencure be entered into
and they should pay all costs
this has gone world wide ,distracted from real and present dangers and the bosses should be jailed
publicity 'stunts' should be ignored
attention getting allows fools to destract
no permission should be sought nor given
this was/is an act designed to create terror/fear and is in fact a clear conspiricy to decieve and create terror
fools need a wake up call ,this is no joke its coldly calculated to decieve and create destraction

I read the story & saw the "scary" things they put up-and still don't see why Boston went crazy. seems they overreacted. The same thing was done in other large cities(the devices have been in place for two to three weeks in 10 cities: Boston; New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; Atlanta; Seattle; Portland, Ore.; Austin, Texas; San Francisco; and Philadelphia.) and there was no problem. Seems Boston overreacted-and still is..

Yes, heavily. It's akin to saying the word "bomb" as you board an aircraft. Those yahoos (no offense intended, Yahoo) should have known better. (And I daresay, we're going to be hearing about some mysterious firings at the network any minute now!)
