This question came up over dinner last night. A group of us who are American exchange students studying in Europe were comparing notes on sexual norms with a Danish graduate student.

I believe so. American society, in my opinion, tends to not encourage "alternative" sexual behaviours among teens, instead pretending that they are not sexual beings. This is counterintuitive. We should encourage the non-threatening sexual behaviours (oral sex with a condom, manual stimualtion, etc.)....

This study is in no way reliable. There's no way in hell that rock fans have a higher IQ than metal fans concerning the personalities they typically have. And electronic music on top? Sure, some forms of it, but how are jazz and metal not up there either? Most metal fans I know are extremely intelligent who have a classicist taste and try to familiarize themselves with political science. This survey also doesn't take into account people who enjoy multiple genres and the fact that many genres which are deemed to be "lesser" don't have their more sophisticated artists presented. This survey just reeks of holes.

Must be.
Try searching the demographics for illegitimate births, demographics of STDs, and compare the two. Then see how the same groups fair in nations where that group dominates.

Absolutely. Here in the US many in our society say there is no such thing as promiscuity. Too bad so sad.

Of course!!

1950: Promiscuous behavior meant kissing your girlfriend outside.

STD's were as rare as an honest politician. In fact, dangerous ones like AIDS didn't exist.

2006: There is no such thing as promiscuous behavior. Nothing is taboo.

STD's are EVERYWHERE. There is EPIDEMIC of them in Africa.

The fact that sex is now OK makes STD's more common.
