Yes, there are multiple dashboard updates for the Original Xbox.

The best way to get one of these updates would be to hook your xbox up to your internet connection and log onjto xbox live.

Even if you do not have an xbox live account, it will still update the dashboard software for you.

no the regular xbox is only standard software the xbox360 can be upgraded though
