I am a Software developer who wishes to stop people making and distributing compromised copys of my software.

I know that 'Zend Guard' and 'IonCube' is the best software for protecting scripts, but what can I do to protect my software programs from being compromised?

Any 'Crackers' out there??

Get a program like QSetup from Pantaray Research, and use that to compile your SETUP.EXE applications.

This is the big disadvantage with a desktop computer. You need a UPS to protect against power outages. Remember that a battery in a laptop acts as a UPS and will provide the protection necessary against power cuts.

I agree with Richard, and abatardi, only I think the understanding of some responders are from the point of view of protecting the programs from viruses when the questioner is concerned with pirating, IMHO.

One way to protect your computer software is to back them up to an external hard drive that is password protected and encrypted. Then only edit your software or show it off on a computer that does not have internet access. Then no one except someone who breaks into your house or a family member will be able to steal the data. God Bless and Jesus Saves.
