My husband and I went to La Chene in Aqua Dulce, CA for our anniversary. It was very nice and the food was delicious. Their Web site is: http://www.lechene.com.

They were voted as the Most Romantic restaurant by the Daily News and LA Magazine. Le Chene is most noted for their extensive wine list. If you do go, make reservations and ask or a table by the window.

There are tons of them scattered around. I would suggest Yamashiro's in the Hollywood Hills or maybe Castaways in the Burbank Hills. (Generally anything up on a hill will have a great view and sunset time would be the best for a romantic mood.)

Tony's on the Pier in Redondo Beach. (great mai tais & sunset)

Castaways in Burbank (overlooking san fernando valley) Sunsets can be nice.

The Shoals in Mussel Shoals, CA ( right on the water at the Cliff House Inn.) Friendly, people, very low key and if all goes well, the hotel is right there. They have great mid week packages.

The Lobster is right by the Santa Monica Pier, it's really romantic. Best to go when the sun is setting and ask for a nice view so you can see the sun going down over the ocean.
