but i was not looking for sympathy far from it i was merely pointing out that even if your older does,nt necessarilly mean that you are not looking at being older thinking does any body on this site give up ? i hope not

Afraid your question is not very well put but I think it is simply asking does anyone give up on life as they get older? Don't think anyone would, it's a fact of life old age comes to everyone if they are spared long enough. However, some are more fortunate in old age than others and things like ill health, loosing mobility, bereavement, memory loss, being extremely lonely sometimes contribute to people giving up and in these cases often go down the hill fast. Others have numerous problems and cheerily soldier on. We are all different.

I answered that question, I have elderly friends and they all say to me that they still have the brain of a 21 year old. A few of them seem to fear what will happen to them as they get older and their bodies can't keep up.
However, I know a few that are still as active as ever. I'm a firm believer in what the Americans do. You see their older generations walking around and keeping active, ours we simply shut away. I think staying active is half the battle.

Getting older is one of the things that we cannot change in life, apart from having surgery to disguise it of course.Never give up coz you will then never know what you were missing.
