Tire shop might be able to fix it depending on how bad it is, I wouldn't recommend trying to fix it yourself cuz it usually just makes it worse.

I'm not real car savy, but I'm thinking you could call the city you live in and tell them to figure a way to pay and get you a new wheel. I had a 95 civic with TSW Evo's on it and I didn't know the aluminum bent so easily. Discount Tire was able to unbend it enough and balance the tire enough that I coudn't tell it was bent. I eventually had to buy a new wheel but my wheel's were ancient by then.. so i just put my Honda wheels back on.. BUMMER I hate pot holes!!

Sorry to say that replacement if the best, perhaps only option. Steel can be heated and reformed, but once you heat aluminum it loses a great deal of its strength. And of course with the rim bent, you will always have a potential if not actual air leak.

I also would think to replace the rim. Depending on the severity of the damage, if you straighten the damage, there is a potential of air leaks from that site. Also by forcing the aluminum back into position you will lose strength in that spot.

it may be possible to fix. there are companies that can roll out the dent if it is only on the lip. the air seal is not formed by the lip. they also refinish.

try this site as an example, depending on where you live they may have drive in centres
