Or a really humurous book. It has to be well known so I can get it at the library. Any ideas as to what book I should get?

I don;t know any book that will suspend you, but I am currently reading a book by Anthony Horowitz called The Killing Joke. It's filled with humour and suspense ( a hard combo to match). The general premise is that of a man who gets dumped by his gf, and ends up in a bar to sink his sorrow in Brandy. There he hears a joke and wonders where jokes comes from and where jokes begin. So begin his quest to find where that particular joke came from and along the way he runs into an Irishman, a Scot and a Brit ( no i am not joking). I hope you get it at your library and enjoy it.

Harry Potter is funny, especially the first two books.

Y: The Last Man is a funny, thought provoking graphic novel about a virus that kills all men, except one. It is about his life on the run and how the world functions without men.

Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels are laugh out loud funny.

Ask the librarian, i'll bet he/she has ideas, too.

The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy was great, or you could try books by Terry Pratchett, they're very satirical and funny.
