Most Real Estate Schools offer a Home Appraiser Course.

Look online for Real Estate Schools in the city where you live.

I became an appraiser in California by going to my local community colleges, taking some courses and passing the trainee exam. I worked under a licensed appraiser for a year, got my hours and became a fully licensed and independent appraiser.

I have referred about 5 other people to train online using Allied Business Schools to get their education requirements. That is a good route to take and last I heard it was around $1000 +/- for the course.

You should check with your states real estate office regarding requirements and also check Allied Business Schools online to take intenet courses.

I put together a page about what it takes in California below with marketing tips and more. Good luck!!!!

One you take the courses you usually must pass a state issued exam and you may have to achieve a certain amount of on the job experience to be able to use or qualify to use appraisal licenses.
