I just started wearing contact lenses and was wondering is it possible for contact lenses to be pushed too far into the edges of the eye that it might disappear?

If I understand your question correctly, you are wondering if it will actually fall into your body (or disappear). This falls into one of those "anything is possible" scenarios. I guess if you tried to get the contact lens well behind your eyelid, it would go there. But it would take effort, at least in my experience.

In general use - even if you sleep in them - this will not happen. The lens is made to fit over your cornea with a tight suction seal. As such, rotating randomly around your eye is a challenge.

I've worn contacts for 25 years (always soft lenses) and have never encountered an issue like the one you describe. However, if you seriously rub your eye, the lens may fold and go into the corners of your eye. Or the lens may go very high up on your eye, but usually just looking down and lifting your lid is enough to retrieve the lens. For it to "disappear" would be a challenge (again, at least in my experience).

If you are having problems with the contact not fitting properly, see your eye doctor. Note that it takes your eyes a while to get used to wearing lenses. When I first got my lenses, I think it took about 2 weeks before my eyes were really happy with them. But once that adjustment period was done, I found contacts were so much better than glasses. I could see better and had more freedom.

Sometimes the contact will move to the position under your eye lip, usually upper eye lip. Then you will find it 'disappear' but it is there, however you can not see it obviously. But I think you will feel it, because your eye don't feel uncomfortable.

Definitely. Usually it will roll back to the front. I have had them roll all the way up behind my eye. You will definitely be able to feel it, it is really uncomfortable. If you have bad allergies be aware contacts can really irritate your eye, to the point of not being able to wear them. That happened to me.

YES.

It is possible. And it hurts. I have lost so many contacts that way.

I usually wait till my eye has calmed down then pry my eye open and see if I can find it, then move it back into place. That is assuming it hasn't dried out.

But please try not to do it cause it is really irritating.

yes its possible but if that is happening you might have them in wrong... you have to be careful with them because they can get frayed around the edges and start bugging you or slipping around where you don't want them to... if you are having a big problem with this you should talk to your optometrist about it... good luck with that!
