I'm making a DVD of her life so far, I am debating whether I should include pictures of the persons who passed away since she was born (grandmothers, great-grandmother) What do you think? Should include them or not, I tend to say yes, because they were part of her life at one time or another, but on the other hand, I don't want to put a damper on the festivities of her 18th birthday (which by the way is a big deal in Canada, she'll be an adult)

if I was her I would put it in there. Yeah it is sad that the people had passed, but her memory of them may fade over time and the memory of seeing them might bring a smile and help her remember the good times with them. I wish my parents woudl have done that for me and I would love to have the passed on people in there too.

You need to include everything. It wont put a damper on the party and she will cherish it more with everyone there.

Thats a very cool thing to do for her by the way.

Absolutely include the family members that have passed away. They are or were very much a part of her life and reason she is even here.

Your gift is a fabulous one !! *high five* to you !! : )

I'd most definitely include them! They are daughter's family, and they are a part of her. Remembering and reliving memories can be heartening ... those people played a part in who your daughter is today.
