The cheapest the store had as we were poor. We never had name brand shoes.

I can tell you what I wasn't wearing. New Balance 608 as I do now and I must say they are the best sneakers I have yet to find.

ROOS, purple and grey. I kept a quarter in the little zipper for the pay phone. I haven't even seen a payphone in weeks. Everytime I think about those shoes I feel old.

Amost 20 years ago, I couldnt wait to get a pair of Nikes.
I also remember wearing clogs.

Sonny boy, fashions haven't changed that much in 20 years. Not for tennis shoes.

They do have more varieties now than they did then, but it's just not that big a difference.

I had Nikes, Pumas, ..... I can't remember what all.

o.k I am from MIchigan so you may not be familer with the store but there was a store called Pic-Way and it was like a Payless and we were poor so I wore there brand and it was called Pro-Wings but me and a friend were just laughing about L.A. Gear so good question it was fun take a flash to the past:)

L A Gear the high-tops with the multi colored " fins" on the side of them. They were pink & purple!
