The DIY ethic and individualism that defined Punk Rock will never die.
It's not "trendy" right now, but there are some cool bands making great music still. (Union 13)
I think punk has expanded from philosophy and music into Art and architecture.
Punk isn't about hate or rejection. At its finest, it's an expression of individuality and the triumph of the human spirit.
