Depends on the type of connection you have at home. If you have a wireless connection, the Wii will automatically find it. If you have a non-wireless router, you can connect to the Wii to the router using a Wii lan converter that connects to the USB port of the Wii. If you connect your computer directly to the cable modem, then you can buy a Wii wireless device that slides into your computer's USB port and communicates with the Wii wirelessly.

It isn't that hard. Buy a connecter cable or router to connect to the computer. I have a router but my mom won't let me hook it up to the wii, so i don't. The wii is still cool without the internet. just walk 2 steps over to the real computer instead.

Actually, you just need to have a broadband connection in your house and a port to plug it into. In other words, you don't actually plug it into your computer, you plug it into an open port. I have a cable modem and there is an ethernet cable that runs from the cable modem to my computer, but, there are extra slots on the cable modem where I can plug in other ethernet cables; i.e. the Wii cable will go from the Wii to the cable modem.

you don't have to hook it up to a computer, it has built in wireless internet. so if you have access to wireless you should be fine just follow the instructions.
