Dont think you are.
I am miscarrying now at 4 wks. It is a very dif experience than a period and not one described well at all by most women I might add.
ok. this is going to be a detailed gross account, but ppl- we need to be more specific to help others! I could have used more detail!
For me, normal periods are preceded by mood swings, cramps and a slow flow. This flow was like an all of sudden burst and everything came out gushing bright red all at once, for 1 day. Never had experienced that before. Then - nothing for 7 days but light brown, then,- more gushing on a lesser scale, but this gushing is different than the 1st. I definitely feel what I can describe to be light contractions ever 15sec - 1 min or so. Much less painful than the monthly cramps I had my whole life and a very different feeling because it was localized to one spot internally ie. cervix vs. ovarian and back type cramping.
Last night I passed something round the size of a 10pence coin. Other women may describe this as a CLOT. But it was not. Clots are clumpy and dark and bloody, but they are not normally very solid. From my research, (looking at images on google and yahoo of wk 4 - 6 pregnancy) it was clearly a 4 to 4.5wk old fetus. This was totally solid and had a tail like end bit. Then this morning, I passed something that looked like a umbilical cord. Since when are clots, umbilical cord shaped? I am still bleeding bright red since Friday and dont know when it will stop. so if you have THESE symptoms (check your "clot" against images for the #of weeks you think you are pregnant) u are def miscarrying. I think it is more serious at 2 mo + because
of how wide your cervix has to open to expel so see a dr.

I can honestly say the same thing happened to me. I spotted for the first 2 months of pregnancy but had a healthy baby boy.
I truly hope you will be just fine. Go to the doctors to make sure and take extremely care of yourself.

I dont believe so, you should not be having any kind of color discharge. I hear that miscarriages hurt like bad cramping. I would see you doc if I were you. Or at least give them a call.

Brown discharge does not necessarily mean that you are having a miscarriage, I believe that is normal since you will not be having a period. However, please call your doctor ASAP so that you can have peace of mind and enjoy your pregnancy. Congratulations!

NO thats usually normal following conception because the egg is implanting intself in your uterus which causes a light discharge

you may be just spotting...especially if its real light...if you are having cramps you need to see a doctor but otherwise its probably just spotting, which is normal
