we've taken a break and we are just freinds , we both don't want new sex partners so we smash from time to time..i want him back as my man but i don't think he's ready..what is a girl to do..i think it's too soon to talk about it. it's only been a month of cool waters

Work on the issues that tore you apart in the first place, learn how to accommodate each other as good friends. It sounds like you are still attracted to each other, just learn to help each other deal with those issues. It's more important to deal with the issues than to take a specified time away from each other. The faster you deal with them, the faster you can get back together.

Well its not really cool waters if you've still been meeting up for sex occasionally. Right now, he has the best of both worlds, he gets to have sex with you when he wants but not have the obligation of a relationship. If you really want to see if there is a possibility of getting back together, then either get it out in the open now, or REALLY take a break, don't call each other, don't email for a good couple of weeks. He will probably be calling you within a few days once he realizes that he misses you. If you keep making it easy for him though, there is really no incentive for him to get back together.

I would move on. I was with a guy and we broke up. For 3 years we kept smashing it from time to time and I was so In love with him. he and I would not have worked out in a relationship anyways but I still loved him. They call them ex's for a reason. The longer I was smashing it with him hte more I wanted to be with him. But to this day years later he still isnt into real relationships. So it could be the same thing happening with you. Or it could be different

I was in a situation like that. My ex and I took a break--his wanting. We slept together from time to time. And he came around and wanted me back. Just be honest and tell him the truth and how you feel! Good luck!
