The Elafonissi beach in Crete is famous for its clean, shallow water (you can walk all the way to the island on the other side of the lagoon), plus the white and pink sand.

Go to Ios in the southern Cyclades where there is a great choice of gorgeous beaches. As you have to get there by ferry it has not been spoiled by mass invasion of charter flights and associated package holidays. Truly beautiful. Also Mykonos and Paros both have loads of beautiful beaches.

The best asset which Greece has to offer is it's islands and mainland beaches. Most of mainland Greece is surrounded by sea and lovely beaches. The most beautiful beaches are both on islands. MYRTO beach which is located on the island of KEFALONIA (Pelopponese) and the beaches of ELAFONISI ISLAND which is minutes off the coast of CRETE ISLAND.

Vai, north-east Crete is an excellent choice. It is surrounded by Europe's' only natural palm forest, and is truly beautiful. Some Bounty-commercials (the chocolate) are made here!
For nightlife etc, live in nearby Palekastro or Sitia. Buses connect the towns with Vai.

i wouldnt be able to suggest any cause there are so many beautiful beaches here in Greece its hard to choose. It also depends on what you looking for. ie. busy beaches,quite beaches. overcrowded or seculded
