What is the delay between the live auditions and when it airs on tv.

It's 4-5 months so that they can do all the editing and such so they can show us all the unnecessary footage before the live shows start.

yea i kno they take forever to show it on tv. i guess its because they want to or have to air the shows at a specific time of the year. they probably had a contract with FOX that had to something with it .
