Would you be willing to a allow abortions legally but make it a criminal offence to perform them. Therefore women can have the "right" to do what they want with their bodies but more murder can be avoided!

No it's not a religious thing it's a matter of consequence and action, scruples and morals. It's not okay to kill confessed serial murderers but these same people profess promiscuity ending in murderous aborted pregnancies.

With what I'm seeing most of you know nothing about life or morals and you most certainly can't comprehend written english. I know who needs the dose of reality!

Abortion is societys way of not taking responsiblity. Now there should be a few exceptions like danger to the mother, disability to the child or rape. Not that you were having sex, got drunk or whatever excuse they come up with.

I have a question I'm man and my girlfriend gets pregnant she wants the child, but I don't. Should I have to pay support for a child that I don't want? Sounds selfish of me doesn't it?"

Here's another scenario. Your pregnant and I physically assault you, whch results in the loss of your child. Now do I get charged for assault and murder or just assault. The law says that an unborn child isn't a life, just so the next person can get an abortion. You can't make an exception just so you can charge me for murder.

These are some of things we need to take into consideration. I know people end up in bad situations. Your not going to be the first person to get pregnant and then your boyfriend runs out on you. There have been single mothers for hundreds of years. This whole excuse of its not really a person is just people trying to justify their cause and clear their own conscious.

A child should be a blessing no matter how much of a set back it may be for you. There are people in this world who can't have children. At least give the child the opportuntity of live with a good family. But people are more concerned with things like partying with their friends, school, jobs or even losing their figures. Somewhere down the line, people forgot that human life is the most important thing.

And for any women out there who feel that as a man I should have no opinion on what should happen to my unborn child. I take family very seriously, don't think I would allow anyone to get away with aborting any child of mine.

It's a tough question. I've never been in that situation and hopefully never will be. I do think that people should have rights over their own bodies and be able to do what ever they want with them. However, I do feel that once the embryo develops into a 'baby' it becomes a different matter.

It depends on the circumstances. I can understand if somebody is abused or in a violent relationship etc then the woman should be free to do whatever she feels necessary. But if somebody is being deliberately foolish and careless with their sexual habits and using abortion as a means of contraception......

I don't believe that abortion is murder unless the pregnancy has reached the later stages and even then I believe that all factors have to be taken into account. I also don' think that doctors are doing anything wrong when they perform them. It's their job.

To sum up, I wouldn't criticise anybody for havingor performing an abortion. Even in cases of promiscuity; I'm sure the woman will always remember what happened, whether she thought it was a good or bad decision.

That's just ridiculous! Abortion needs to be safe and legal. No, I'm not happy when it's done, especially by women who use abortion as a means of birth control because they are too lazy to know what goes on in their own bodies and get pregnant out of ignorance, but there are good societal reasons for abortion.

The doctors who perform them are heroes in my estimation with all of the weirdo anti-abortionists out there who believe that killing an abortion doctor will save the lives of unborn babies prowling around and threatening them.

ABORTION IS LEGAL AND SHOULD REMAIN SO!

In fact, you'd think that it would be paid for by the government to save the country the billions of dollars in welfare and medicaid benefits to subsidize all of the unwanted pregnancies that would go to term if abortion were deemed illegal.

I believe that men should have no opinion whatsoever in regard to abortion as they are usually the reason why a woman chooses to have an abortion because he's left her and won't help raise or pay for a child, etc...

Until all men take physical and financial care of the children that they help create, abortion needs to remain an issue between a woman, her doctor and her God.

Okay, if you're a guy you have no say.

Pregnancies are not always the result of promiscuity. I don't think abortions are the answer to women & their partners who are just too damn lazy to use birth control. However, rape, failed birth control and economics all lead to the decision to abort & it is the woman's right to choose....period. Abortions are not murder when the fetus is not viable.

I would only be up for allowing abortions and giving all doctors the legal right to perform them. An abortion is like cutting off your finger, or taking out an ovary. Its a lump of cells...... Ovaries contain potential life if fertilised and allowed to develop fully to birth, otherwise, its just a waste of biomatter. And by the way, Lucy - bring it on... Guys have a say as well, we are human beings and just as responsible for procreation as women.

I heard a true story on television about a nurse getting raped after her shift had ended, and she got pregnant.Well, being that she and her husband were against abortion they decided that she have it and give it up for adoption. The time came when the son she gave birth to came looking for her. They were upset that they gave out her personal info. where he could contact her, because of the birth resulting from a rape.Well they learned that her birth son had just been released from prison for rape. She sued the state for releasing her personal info. All of that could have been avoided if she would have had an abortion. She had to relive the whole nightmare all over again. So sad....I know that if this would have happened to someone in your family you'd feel different, yes indeed.

I think it's easy to be self righteous and judgemental when you sit in an ivory tower where you keep yourself exempt from bad things happening. If I've learned anything in life, it's that most of the time, if you're going to judge people and have such a hard fast negative opinion on something, it'll likely come back to you as something you'll have to deal with in your life.

You seem to forget that there are circumstances where a woman has to have an abortion ,else she could die.
Is it worth preserving a life of a child if its mother is dead? Who will protect the mother's right to life.
Your statement is generalistic and does not make sense.
Personally i think serial murderers , child molesters and Terrorists should all be executed . !!

i've got faith it and don't have a challenge with it. My taxes are used for a super form of issues i don't accept as true with for my section, yet i don't get a say in it. i did not accept as true with the Iraq conflict, yet did not get a say. i did not accept as true with the financial corporation and AIG bailouts, yet did not get a say i've got not got young babies, yet help their public education with my property tax funds (on 2 residences) and that i don't get a say. Get used to it. edit: i'm getting to vote for a million representative out of 435, and a pair of senators out of one hundred. it incredibly is infrequently a "say" in how my tax money is spent. incredibly for the clarification that the living house Rep's district is gerrymandered and he has gained re-election 8 cases now and neither Senator has replaced in an extremely long term the two.
