I am a 25 year old female and have no desire to have sex. Is this normal? I am not on any medication except for aviane the birth control pill. When I do have sex it is uncomfortable and sometimes painful. I usually need to use numbing cream. Yes I have seen my gyn and no she has not found a problem. What is wrong with me?

There is nothing wrong with you. Try having your partner give you a sensual massage during foreplay, to help you really relax and get into the mood. The other thing is try different positions, maybe the one that you are using is what is causing problems. And if you don't wanna have sex then don't, nobody says you have to. When the right person at the right time comes around, it will feel wonderful, and be wonderful

I went through a very similar thing when I was 19 with a long term partner, and I found it quite embarrassing :o( I used a lot of lube and a lot of foreplay but most the time I just couldn't be bothered with it. Then one day I was really horny and everything went back to normal. The lack of lust lasted about a 7 months! But usually it's just a stage. I think, also that the pill and also the injection (I was on it at the time) can affect your libido and there isn't much that can be done about it. If you are in a relationship you'll just have to talk to your partner about it and make sure they understand, and that it isn't that they don't turn you on any more or anything. Eventually it'll stop, I promise, esp if you gyno says nothing is wrong!
Hope this helps.

I have had this problem for ages... probably earlier than you. But, what I did was have my testoterone checked. The level started at 15 and mine was at 11. So my gyno recommended a testosterone medication. It is called compounding medication. This is made to mimic your own testosterone, not a mans. They have lozenges, cream, and injections as well as pills and patches. It worked wonders for me. It helped with ... lubrication as well. I had none. This made if painful for me too. The pills can do this, make your libido lower. Because of the increase in estrogen and progestin making your testosterone ... lower in a sense. But if you do have your testosterone checked... and it is low, it is worth trying something like this.

No it did not put hair on my chest. It was definitly worth it. It is hard being married and not having a desire what so ever. But let me give you a site you can look up this compounded medication...

this gives you some information on this. It is alot more common then you may feel like. But they don't have a magic pill like VIAGRA for women, even though it is used in some cases for women. Just know there are things you can do.

Hope this helps...
