The best book to read is the Bible babe. I don't mean to discourage, but with you being a sister in christ I feel it is imperative that you know the truth. We are not to read anything pertaining to the world. For our sights are to be set on Jesus and his ways and to be followers, or imitators, of Him. The devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy and he is a crafty spirit. You have to shield yourself with the full armor of christ in order to defeat the devil. He manifests himselfs into the books we read (i.e. Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and the music that's played (some music and movies have subliminal messages to turn you from God) You must ask God for wisdom, strengh, and fatih to stand firm in his word because the devil and his demons are set out to destroy His people. You are a child of God but not everyone is His elect. Devilish people are here in this world to turn you but you gotta be strong and stay in the Word, that is the Bible. Cook books, history, and math are fine. The best stories are in the bible, but if you want fiction, try reading something that does not have sorcery, cursing, sex, violence, drama, or any kind of filth. Pray and the Lord will answer you, your heart will hear Him and you will know the answer. Here's some food for thought:
1 John 2:15-17

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
KJV

First I agree with Bible which has already been listed. If you have trouble just reading through it pick up a devotion book that will give you specific passages to read and thoughts around them.

Another good book for a teen girl is Wait for me by Rebecca St. James

I think you should read whatever you want. I never had any restrictions placed on my reading. You are certainly old enough to make up your own mind.
