NaCl does not dissolve in acetone (propanone), because NaCl is an ionic compound, and acetone dodesn't associate well enough with ions to dissolve an ionic compound. Acetone is miscible with water, however. If your acetone got contaminated with enough water, you could dissolve enough NaCl to conduct a current.
