well up to a point .you know we all feel the same i remember an old lady going into a hospital and she died overnight but she left a poem which started with
what do you see nurse when you look at me
do you see an old lady of 83
or do you see someone who was once like you and it carried on but i cannot remember it it shows that we are all going there i suppose if we are lucky i guess we have to make the most of what we have got at the time

I can see where you are probably coming from here.

I look at my gran who's almost 90, she doesn't need a stick to walk or anything but of course she's a little slower now. I think to myself I wonder what kind of a life you had, it is hard to imagine them as young as you but you do wonder.

I have seen pictures of her and have her wedding picture, she wasn't a bad looker in her day. I had to laugh at some of the clothes though, by the sound of it she had some fun.

As a friend of mine says, she's 64 but in her head she's still 21.

I do think we treat the aged very badly, instead of caring for them more (I mean they looked after us for years when we were younger) we lock them up in homes and leave them there. I've found that a lot of them simply thrive and pick up a bit just by having a chat and interacting.

We'll all be there one day....

The poem that your on about i read about 12yrs ago when i worked at a nursing home for the elderly. I personally think your as old as you feel. Im 42 my oldest son is nearly 21 and i work with him, i also go out with him and the guys and girls from work. We go out clubbing and everything. If you want to act 20 then you go for it, enjoy the life that you have and live it. We only have one chance at life and we are a long time dead. Have fun and enjoy xxx

You are lucky! I too feel young, I never even think in numbers....I try to laugh many times during my day, and spend time with loved ones who make me smile.....and I try to learn something new each day, take a new class each year or do something fun just for the sake of doing it!

Have a grand life friend!

I think it is true. I see people all around me who are my age and I think back to my childhood to when people at that age were very responsible at that age. And I now look at those people and see that they are indeed just as responsible and mature as my memory recollected. And yet they look at me and treat me as an equal to them, which is a little disconcerting as I'm still a kid in my mind.
