I just found out yesterday that we are having a girl. I was so convinced I was pregnant w/ a boy, we only picked out boys names. I have a daughter named Victoria Alexander. I'm looking for something pretty and not common. I like Jailyn and Cadence, and the middle name will be Josephine after my boyfriend's mom. Thank you very much!

Jailyn is cute, Jailyn Josephine, I am not sure, it sounds cute. Echo Josephine would be cute and there are many ways to spell it. My sister has a daughter named Echo, her middle name is Jayde, maybe you would like to use Jayde, that would sound cute Jayde Josephine. How about Rainy? Rainy Josephine is cute. Of the 2 names you have listed I like Jailyn. I hope that this helps.

Well here's a thought for you. People are trying so hard nowdays to come up with "uncommon" names that the pretty old names are disappearing and are now fading away. Not sure why you have a girl with a boy's middle name now, but Victoria is traditional but still pretty...
Think about these "old", pretty, but nowadays uncommon names:
Claire, Sharon, Susan, Elise, Elaine, Madeline, Virginia, Caroline, Janet, Charlene, Margaret, Barbara and more!!!!

be really careful about "unique" names. You may love the name but your daughter will have to live with it all her life. She may hate it!
Kids can be really cruel at school. If you want is different name, use it for the middle name.
For example, someone on this forum suggested the name "Heaven" for a girl. While it sounds really pretty, imagine the harassment that poor child will get.
Be careful about initials too. Allison Samantha Smith would not be good.

Candence Josephine sounds ok. Jailyn is pretty but doesn't go with Josephine. How about Anastasia Josephine?
Anastasia is my moms name...I don't know it just came to me...Whatever you decide have fun & enjoy your pregnancy!

I like Jailyn, she should be Lynn Josie though, I like the way that sounds (Josie; Josephine for short) or maybe Josie Lynn. No Lynn Josie, the other way sounds to hill billy-ish. Sorry if anyone on here is named Josie Lynn. Thanks for reading.
