I would just make sure that the little sickie doesn't get too close to your baby. Don't let the 10 month old touch the baby's swing or toys. Be especially careful that the germy one doesn't touch anything that your baby will be putting in her mouth. As long as you are there to keep any eye on what is going on I think your baby will be just fine. I hope that you get out of there quickly!!

I would be paranoid too! I would say it is best to keep your child away from the other children that are sick. Babies are more likely to get sick due to weaker immune systems. Also I'd spray some disinfectent (Lysol) where ever the other kids were when they left (i.e. swing, bassinet).
Good Luck!

Better to be safe than sorry...an illness at 6 weeks old can be quite serious. Since many viruses are airborne...be sure to wipe down your baby's swing and anything she touches with Lysol or Clorox wipes. People should use common sense and stay home with their sick children...especially being around a newborn

i think of this is distinctly trouble-free to experience that way. this is nature's way of encouraging production and continuation of the species. for many new mothers those emotions start to subside as their infant gets older and greater annoying. I felt that way the 1st 2 weeks. Then at week 3 I went by using a level the place i did no longer want to any extent further young babies...ever...and wasn't so specific i ought to handle the single which I had! Now that he's six months previous and that i'm no longer extremely so sleep disadvantaged i've got self belief like i ought to do it lower back in the no longer-so-distant destiny and my husband and that i are speaking approximately TTC lower back this autumn/iciness so as that our son would be 2-2 a million/2 while the 2d infant is born. We determine we'd want to get lots of the sleepless up all nights with an infant years out of how via fact as quickly as I start up getting used to drowsing in the process the night lower back i do no longer think of i could be waiting to shelter going lower back to the sleepless new discern degree.

I think you are definetly being paranoid. Usually colds and things are contagious before someone actually gets sick. I understand you don't want your newborn sick but just brace for the future cuz your kids will always be sick...LOL! In my opinion children who parents are constantly worried about them being sick end up with the sickest kids. You have to let them build up some kind of imune system.

If these kids are running a fever then don't let your child around them. Make sure you keep your area very clean. Get some lysol and spray the house this will help kill off some germs. I spray my house almost everyday. Spray the carpet the furniture everything. If you keep everything clean around your child and no one is running a fever then she'll be fine.
