Nothing is this world comes without a price. The fact that we can sit here and ask such questions shows that we have an enormous amount of freedom. I'm grateful to live in a place where I can say what I want and not be killed in the street for it.

Because there are always others out there who will give anything to control you and how you live your life. Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac. The more powerful the state the more power the people in government wield. Freedom goes against everything they believe in.

Our national freedom was not free. It was enormously costly. Five of the 55 signers of the Declaration of Independence were captured and executed by the British, nine of them died on the battlefield of the Revolutionary War, and another dozen lost their homes and their possessions and their fortunes to British occupation. Our birth as a Nation was not cheap for these men. What beliefs and convictions motivated them to do what they did?
