Homework question????
The answer is D. Babies begin the grasping technique at about 4 months. But this is a tricky question because you can offer an object to a baby at three months too to encourage grasping because some babies develop this a bit earlier than 4 months....

I don't understand why you need to ask this question. A newborn will hold onto your finger !! You can give them soft toys at first so they don't hurt themselves because of their lack of control & then progress to firmer plastic/rubber toys. They should be watched though so they don't stick something in their mouth that could harm them.
