Gore Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
The Associated Press

Thursday 01 February 2007

He "has put climate change on the agenda," two Norwegian sponsors say.

Oslo, Norway - Former Vice President Al Gore was nominated for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his wide-reaching efforts to draw the world's attention to the dangers of global warming, a Norwegian lawmaker said Thursday.

"A prerequisite for winning the Nobel Peace Prize is making a difference, and Al Gore has made a difference," Conservative Member of Parliament Boerge Brende, a former minister of environment and then of trade, told The Associated Press.

Brende said he joined political opponent Heidi Soerensen of the Socialist Left Party to nominate Gore as well as Canadian Inuit activist Sheila Watt-Cloutier before the nomination deadline expired Thursday.

"Al Gore, like no other, has put climate change on the agenda. Gore uses his position to get politicians to understand, while Sheila works from the ground up," Brende said.

"I think climate change is the biggest challenge we face in this century," Brende said.

Anybody can nominate for a Nobel, and they can nominate anybody they choose. Even an evil little twit like bush, or another second generation political hemorrhoid like Al Gore. Neither will ever receive one however.

Among the tripe above is the comment that Arafat won a Nobel, I think tha was because Charles Manson wasn't available...

Obama have been given the Nobel Peace Prize through fact by giving it to him that they had be linked with Obama and that they felt it would be a sturdy circulate to realize this, needless to say they did not think of the same element approximately Ghandi, for 5 cases they did not aknowledge him. To me that prize holds no value. Obama ignored a extensive threat while he popular it. He could have been truthful and refused it saying there is not any way I deserve this. RE: Did President Obama get the Nobel Peace Prize through fact he's black? Did President Obama get the Nobel Peace Prize through fact he's black, through fact he beneficial did not get the Nobel Peace Prize for ending the wars.

Well, maybe Algore has put 'global warming' on the agenda,
but more important is what he plans to do about it? So far,
I've never seen anyone be able to do anything about the
climate or the weather, except talk about it which Algore is
doing. The Nobel Peace Prize should be abandoned...it
is a sham. Most people that have won it in the past have
been troublemakers....not peace-makers.

Sheesh! All this nonsense about global warming is pathetic.

And Al Gore for the Nobel peace prize? Gag me with a spoon, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's all a load of rotten junk.

I didn't realize Al Gore was President. What country is he President of?

Al Gore isn't an evil man. He has good intentions. I don't agree with his politics but that alone doesn't make the man. I say good for him.

Didn't Al Gore make his money from coal mines? Kinda funny that he is a leading figure in Global Warming now.

You'd serve yourself better by NOT making up stupid, juvenile words . see : dumbyabots.. . . . really stupid word .

You might like to know that Al Gore paid a scientist(pro-global warming) to analyze what will happen in 50 years if we do nothing about global warming . the scientist finished his work and CONCLUDED that the temperature would rise about 0.0003 degrees.. . . I may have the percentage slightly wrong but it's very close . In other words NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. .. . .. . Not my words, nope, it's the words of Al Gore's Paid Scientist .

You are acting as if the Nobel Peace Price is some badge of honor. May I remind you that he would join the ranks of Yasser Arafat and Jimmy Carter. Some fuc**ki_ng honor.
