Music with a fast enough beat that motivates you is good for listening to while working out.
Here are some suggestions (I have a "workout playlist" on my ipod) I like to work out to Santana (Oyo Como Va, Black Magic Woman, Jingo etc), Lenny Kravitz (American Woman, etc.) ATB, if it's not too "trancey", the Eurythmics (Sweet Dreams), Eminem (Lose Yourself) Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), Green Day, Queen, U2, Delirium also has some good music for workouts.
I recommend using an MP3 player and making a special playlist. I also recommend rotating the music so you don't get tired of it

I would suggest Ashley Jade-"On The Run", the second single from her solo debut album, "Dreaming." She was the lead single of the female Dance-pop vocal group, The Soda Club. It is an excellent speedy Euro-NRG (Eurodance & Hi-NRG) type song with excellent vocals and lyrics with Pop viability. I also recommend Kate Ryan-"All For You" and Ian Van Dahl-"Just A Girl." All three songs are in a similar Euro-NRG and/or vocal Trance sound, musically.

It depends what kind of music you want to hear....
you can listen to some heavy rock or metal and maybe that will pump you up

Depends on your tastes. Benny Benassi is popular! A constant beat is important.
