Like the other said, most people take a razor blade and slice them longways. I assume you are removing them to put on new one's, if not then maybe wrap it with a hot wet towel a few times to loosen the glue.

Many years ago we use to stick a Phillips screw driver into the grips end and spray in some wd-40 while moving the driver around. Then put an air pressure nozzle in the end and blast with air, should pop right off. Make sure you hold a finger over the other grip so pressure will build up.

Good Luck

Yeah, go with the compressed air option. Even if you do not have an air compressor, use the one at your local garage (Tyres). You can also attach a ball inflation nozel on this and it will slide under the grip very easy and brake the bond between glue and grip.
Dont cut of your grips because oneday I'm sure you may want them again.

Don't do the WD40 thing if you want your new grips to stay put. If you do use the WD40 method degrease THOROUGHLY and let the bars dry before fitting the new grips. Nothing worse than driving down the road and a grip coming loose / off unexpectedly.

if grip is glue on then you have to cut it with a razor blade. Just place a razor on the grip with a little pressure on it and cut it from left to right then peel the grip a part like a banana.

Sometimes they just are tight and you have to cut them off and many manufacturers now do glue them on. Honda supply a adhesive for the Goldwing grip rubbers

So if you were hoping to re-use them I am afraid that you might not be able to do so

I used an air compressor to blow underneath the grip, they slide right off when doing that- it breaks the bond between the glue and handlebar.

Use a heat gun and warm them up. This way you can take them off without destroying them. Soak them in WD-40 to put them back on using the glue already there.
