First, you have to learn the alphabet, and the sounds that each letter make.

Once you have that under your belt, you can start sounding out whole words, by using the sound from each letter, one at a time.

There are a few odd rules of the English language that will probably slow you down a bit - silent e's, for example, or ph and th, but those can be overcome, once you start getting the rest of the words, and the context of the sentence.

See if your local high schools have "continuing education" courses. If they do not, they should be able to direct you to some help in your city.

You should really ask a teacher. Maybe there is another section you can use.
