Why is she constantly ignoring me?
I started going to a new church about 3 years ago there was a lady in the crowd that I said hello to along with other people. She seemd to hesitate and then told me her name. She had been kinda chattting with my wife before this. Whenver I saw her again she would completely ignore me. Never speak. If I say something she will speak to me smile and be very courteous . Sometimes I think we broke the ice and will be at least civil to each other but every week its the same. Ice cold..sometimes we will avoid each other for months and not say a thing. I started to just ignore her she wont even hardly say anything to my wife. I cant understand treating people like this at church. I dont know what her problem is and the ignoring part is really stupid. The other day I opened the door for her and she would not even say thankyou...but if I had said something like goodnight she would have responded. What gives? Her husband seems like a nice friendly guy .

No I have no feelings for her but she doesnt have to be a total ***** in church.

Perhaps you're sending a vibe that suggests you're looking for more than a nod and howdy. Try talking with her when your wife and/or her husband is present. Make sure she is not threatened by your presence by only engaging her in conversation in a group.
Don't be too judgmental of her. You don't know her past or what personal baggage she carries around.

She may be shy. I am, and some people take it as being a snob. I just don't know how to break the ice. Give her a break. If it continues to bother you - just come out and ask her.

Sounds like HER problem to me. I would just forget about it and go on. You can't control what other people do, or how they behave. Just chalk it up as someone who just has a rude personality and don't pay attention to her anymore.

maybe she simply doesnt like you, ever think of that? and why go out of your way for her...do you like her in some sort of way? i think you should just stop worrying about her and why shes not giving you no attention, go talk to your wife about this see what she has to say!

maybe she just doesn't know how to relate to people, she may be just a backward person, without much emotion.
