I think it's a disgrace that this administration has turned a budget surplus into a record deficit, forcing us to borrow money from a communist country, thereby supporting communism.

Well, currently, it's not as terrible as you might think.

China could never call in the US' debt, because the US is China's largest trade partner.

If China called in the US' debt, the Chinese economy would collapse.

What we need to be careful of is when China and the US stop doing trade.

they dont borrow it from china they borrow it from the world bank then the world banks sells the debt to china. if america spends more money then it earns it has to borrow. the world bank is also entitled to do what it needs to recoupe money.

Why would we borrow money from China?? That makes no sense to me.

I think it's a really bad idea. I feel it makes us look bad because we're borrowing from a country that would most preferably see us obliterated.

what's the big problem with China buying government bonds from us? that actually makes them beholden to us because we owe them money. don't hut the man who owes you money, right?
