Hey folks...somebody please tell me whether I am crazy to think that its wrong for my husband to even consider furniture from his Ex..
My husband and I are still trying to build our home and stuff, so he came to me one day and told me that his Ex was thinking of buying new furniture and wondered whether we could use her old furniutre...
PLEASE tell me thats Ok...LOL because he didnt seem to have any problem with it! I mean, men out there, doesnt something like this call for your male pride/ego? Would you let your Ex furnish your apartment with her old furniture?? I need to know whether I am crazy or not for saying no. My husband things its okay and that I am crazy for even making a big deal out of it....what do you think?

I think subconsciously you don't want the furniture around because it will be a constant reminder to HIM of his relationship with her. You want your OWN history with this man. I think you are perfectly justified in saying no, but you should explain to your husband, clearly and honestly WHY you don't want their memories cluttering up your living room. They probably had sex on that couch.....ouch!

IT'S OKAY TO ACCEPT THAT FURNITURE, HE MORE LIKELY PAID FOR IT SINCE IT'S COMING FROM HIS EX.

Save the money you were going to spend on new furniture, let it draw some interest. Then when you are ready for brand new stuff sell that old stuff at a yard sale and use the extra cash and what you saved plus interest to buy some great quality furniture.

Do you need the furniture. Then take it. Save you some bucks to use on something else later on.

It's free... it's furniture, I wouldn't care. But that's me. If you are not comfortable with it, then say no thanks.

Sure you can, but he has to consent - sign off on it, and give the blood, etc.
