I want to use cystal reports to extract data from TAS Books 2. Does any one know if they are compatible ?

It took me a while to figure out what TAS Books 2 is. :)

From what I can tell, there is no direct way to access TAS Link data. I was hoping to be able to steer you to an ODBC driver or something similar but didn't find anything after some casual web surving.

There is a product available for sale called TAS Link. It's an SDK that can be used with object oriented programming languages. For more information on the SDK, refer to the 2nd and 3rd links below.

One possible solution would be for you to develop a Java Bean that uses the TAS Link SDK (assuming that the TAS Link SDK supports this). Then you can develop a Crystal Report that queries the Java Bean. Refer to the Business Objects documentation using the 4th link below. It explains how to create a java bean for use as a report data source.

I don't think so but you can export TAS data into a readable format (Excel maybe) and then use cyrstal reports on that.
