Because they reproduce in such big quantites and so quickly, they evolve and become immune to many Roach killers. Also, they're mostly a shell with a nervous system. Their need for survival has discarded all those unnecessary components of their bodies. Since they've been in survival mode for so long, they don't have a brain, just a central nervous system.
