No, income support is a suppliment to a low wage or benefit. Unemployment benefit is just that, a benefit because you are out of work. However if you have a family you can claim IC on top of your UB.

No I don't think Unemployment benefit actually exists anymore it is job seekers allowance which is either contribution based or income based for those who haven't paid enough contributions. You can only claim income support if their is some reason you are not available to work.

No unemployment benefit is stamp related the more stamps or if you have paid in enought stamps you will be entitled to unemployment benefit/ Where income support is a legal requirement this is what the state says what you need to live on.IE bread line???
