Very normal, congratulations for breast feeding too by the way!

She might be teething, that sometimes affects appetite. Just make sure that you get her checked by a doctor if it goes for longer than about a week without much interest in eating, or if it really drops off to where you feel like she's not getting enough nourishment, getting lethargic and sleeping a lot too.

As babies get older their stomachs get bigger and they can hold more food and don't need to eat as often. If she is going longer between feedings but still eating a good amount at each feeding than I wouldn't worry. Also, I agree with some of the other answers above. All babies go thru stages and growth spurts. Sometimes they eat more, sometimes less. As long as her diapers are wet. She should be fine. Just keep an eye on her and make sure there is nothing else amiss.

My son was like this he would always stare at me eating and cry, I finally gave him solids at 4 and a half months, he had good head control so I sat him in his snug chair and fed him two spoonfuls of baby porridge.. He didnt push the spoon out so I knew he was ready and proceeded to give him the food and he eat all of it (I waited a full 24 hours before trying him again) and he gradually had more and more He was also breastfed and I know he was ready for solids when I gave him some.. He is now 6 months and eats porridge of a morning mashed with puréed banana, has puréed fruit of a dinner and some puréed veg of a night and he is a very content and happy baby and spot on in his weight! Mums know best, as long as baby has good head control and can eat off a spoon not in the bottle like rusk (don't do that!) it's fine! Good luck x

How do you know she isn't eating as much? She is probably much better at emptying the breast so she needs to eat for less time, or less often. However another growth spurt is always right around the corning.

So long as she is acting fine and making wet diapers she is getting enough milk for her.

Yes, I would say quite normal. I breast fed all my babies, and they had weeks where they ate none stop then days they didn't eat hardly at all. Just depends on your baby. If you are worried though you should get her checked out, Just to put your mind at ease. Good Luck!

Your 11 week old is probably able to eat more at one sitting than she was able to before. Babies will not starve. They will let you know if they don't get enough food. Babies on instinct stop eating when they are full. To bad as adults we don't do this, we may not have an overweight society.

If your baby isn't exhibiting any other signs, such as less frequent wet diapers, temperature or other obvious symptoms, she probably is okay. If this continues however, you need to take her to your Dr.You need to monitor her closely. I am a mom and I personally would take her to the Dr.,especially if she is your first and your experience with children is minimal. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes this is normal temporarily. If your baby's eating level decreases, I recommend you take them to the Doctor. ASAP.

Her appetite will go up and down, based on growth spurts and activity level. As long as she isn't losing weight, don't worry about it. She knows when she wants to eat.
