cut the jeans legs off just above the crotch,across this cut sew a french seam to make a sturdy bottom for a casual purse,you will not need any kind of closure as it will be a sporty carry all.You can run a scarf or pretty belt thru the belt loops if the pant had loops.You can put decorative old pins on the outside of your carry all. I have seen these in shops and they were expensive.With your own creative ideas you might make it a gift or your own accessory.Handles canbe added of fabric.

I assume you have already tried returning them and see if they can shrink and tried a belt. Well you can:
1. Make someone else's life by giving it to Goodwill or your local charity
2. Gift it to someone
3. Make a mini skirt (cut them from the part where the zipper ends) Then wear them with leggings... it looks pretty
4. If you wax. Make strips for wax removal. jean material gives you less pain.

You could cut off the legs and sew the bottom together to make a cute denim purse. Then cut a strip from the leg and sew it on to make the handle.

Giving them to a good charity is always an option. You could cut them into shorts or capris. Maybe you could make a purse.

I always get my jeans and make purses and handbags out of them. I get lots of complements. You can also make bracelets out of them. There is lots of stuff you can do with jeans like Bookmarks,Belts,and Headbands.Be Creative!

If you have a draft in your house, you can cut them up and stuff with cotton and put in front of the door to keep your house or room warm.

if you don't want to sell them, you can make a handbag out of them! on google just type in Denim handbag DIY and you should be able to find out how to make one! Very easy and funky!
