I'm into the whole organized crime thing, and looking for a good fiction mafia book based in the 20's-50's era. Nothing close to recent. If anybody has any recommendations, then that'd be great! Thanks.

Fools Die and The Last Don, both by Mario Puzo, author of The Godfather. Puzo lived close enough to the mob on Long Island.

Have you read The Godfather? It covers a lot of time.
