For over a year, my fiance' and I had a long distance relationship. We e-mailed to communicate our love for each other. I had planned to make a family heirloom with our e-mails, similar to the movie, "The Notebook", but while we were busy building our home, with our computer dissconnected, yahoo deleted all the e-mails in my account. I'm heartbroken! I need help in retrieving them! I will pay the worker's wage to find them for me. If banks can find past transactions, I know Yahoo must also have a place for deleted files. I'm sure if I were a criminal, and the police needed to research my old e-mails, they would be retrieved. Love is an even better reason to retrieve them. Again, I beg you for your help! I am seriuosly heartbroken! My husband and I don't communicate with the same tenderness we did when we were dating. Reading those love letters from my husband keeps my love alive for him. Please! I will pay whatever you need! I have faith in the goodness of your spirit. Thank-you Maureen

Well sweetie it shouldn't take just this to keep your love alive anyway. It seems like you're holding onto the past and not living the present. Everything happens for a reason, out of all the people it took them deleting your emails? That doesn't happen. We rebooted our computer and that didn't happen. The internet and your computer are two different things. You can't hand down love letters as an heirloom anyway. So you can call the company but it will probably be impossible, try making new memories, maybe it isn't the same tenderness but maybe you could win some of it back. Your husband sent you the emails, so copies of them are still sent to his account. Unless he erased them. Did you ever check his sent mail? Go look and then email me so I know what happened. Good luck honey. There's nothing wrong with being sentimental, I'm the same way my boyfriend and I write love emails all the time I keep every last one so does he.

Try and contact Yahoo through e-mail and explain to them what happened. Try and see if you could set something up where you can speak with a representative over the phone so they can take you step by step through any process that you need to go through to get them back. Im sorry that they were lost, i'm sure they meant so much to you

Unfortunately, they are under no legal compulsion to save emails. They are not at all like past transactions at a bank, because those have to be saved forever for financial purposes. If they were not saved to your computer, odds are that they are irretrievable. I am sorry for your loss.

First of all you should have log on at least once a month in your public library.
Call Yahoo in California.
Ask somebody there if your deleted emails could still be retrieved.
Your emails should still be in their server.
Good luck!
