I live in Sacramento and my boyfriend and I were thinking of taking a day trip to Bodega Bay soon. I checked thew weather forecast and it looks like it'll be pretty chilly this weekend. What has the weather been like? When does it start to warm up? We would like to go fairly soon but don't want to be miserable on the beach.

Also, please no suggestion on other places we should go instead. Bodega Bay is where we would like to go. Thanks!

Foggy, overcast, and chilly. As in, temps in the 50's. A hoodie or light jacket will be fine, but don't wear shorts or sandals. While you're there, be absolutely sure to eat at The Inn at the Tides. EXCELLENT seafood! And it's decorated with framed photos of scenes from "The Birds". And you can watch the sea lions while you eat.

it is usually chilly and foggy most of the time I have been there. Over the next week it looks like it will be between high 50s - mid 60s in the daytime mid 30s over night. Saturday is probably best day this coming weekend.

Honestly the coast in northern california area never really warms up. Bodega in july or august might make it to the mid 80s. But it is almost always covered in fog any time I have gone to pt. reyes. There is more fog in the summertime. Winter is usually more clear, but cold.

it rarely goes above 65 in Bodega Bay, even in summer. It will only go above 70 maybe 5-10 times in a year and it is probably sometime in fall.
