I don't need another credit card, although I want to book a cruise and the card might give me extra benefits. I don't know much about it.

The Disney Visa is a good idea if you plan to book a Disney Cruise or any Disney Vacation. Many reasons why:

1). You get points for every dollar you spend, extra points if you purchase Disney products or travel, and points for most everything that you purchase outside of Disney. You then put them on a Disney Reward card and it is like a gift card once you are at Disney that you can use on merchandise. So that is a nice little benefit.

2). I believe they are still offerring 6 months no interest if you use a Disney Visa and book a Disney vacation. I know that it works for Disney World, but I am not sure about Disney Cruise, so that is worth checking into if you need it. I've never used it, so I'm not quite sure how it works. But I have heard that you need to call to confirm that they put it on no interest and everything, but I won't be much help with all of that.

3). Disney usually offers an onboard credit if you use your Disney Visa to make all of the payments for your vacation. It isn't much, I think it is about $50 (not certain on the exact amount) You just have to check if they are offerring it when you book.

Plus, if you are a Disney fan the designs are pretty nice as well.

So there are some benefits, it just depends if it is anything that interests you. Just try to get it ordered as soon as possible because you don't want the rates to go up on your cruise, that will likely outweigh the benefits of the credit card.

I used to have a Disney credit card that I signed up for at a Disney Store locally. I didn't use it for a long time and went in to see if it was still good, and they told me they don't have them anymore. I'm sorry, I didn't look into it any further, and this was a few years ago. Maybe they started them up again. Ask at a Disney Store.
